Transparency is in my nature. Much of my coaching is done simply by sharing my personal experiences with the workouts and diet plan I'm following.
Even with 20 years coaching experience and 30 years of experience under the bar, I still face temptations, challenges, and setbacks from time to time just like everyone else.
These obstacles always present a coaching opportunity where you benefit from seeing how I rise above the challenge and come out of it stronger than ever before.
What you won't see from me is a highlight reel of only the best version of my experiences. There's enough of that on social media and I feel it does more harm than good.
My diet is not perfect. I enjoy pizza, craft beer, chips, and chocolate. I like to "live a little" as some would say.
There are days when I'm hard on myself when I look in the mirror.
There are workouts when I simply don't have the energy to give my best effort in the gym.
And with me being transparent about these experiences, you get to benefit by seeing...
...how I incorporate all of my favorite foods into my diet plan GUILT FREE while progressing towards my goals.
...how I reinforce positive body image.
...how I walk out of the gym feeling victorious every time.
And the best part about me keeping it real... is that it has created an environment where our club of like-minded men and women over 40 can feel comfortable sharing their challenges and setbacks as well.
That's how we all learn and grow together.
